Tārai Kura, October 2023 Pānui 21
By Diana Wilkes •
Tēnā koe and welcome to the November pānui that is focused on collaborative approaches to teaching and learning.
In this month’s feature article Ringa Whao, Carolyn Marino, talks with the team at Whenuapai School in West Auckland. Whenuapai has undergone a major change process, developing a second campus 4 km from the home site in just 10 months! The preparation of not just the physical site, but the way teaching and learning will happen to accommodate more collaborative ways of working, has been well executed by the school team.
In the second article, Ahutoetoe School Tumuaki Tuarua, Nick Edwards shares their journey toward collaborative approaches to leading and teaching. Ahutoetoe is a green fields school with a strong commitment to and focus on collaboration.
We also share the second of three articles that feature some amazing tips from active Principal Advisors regarding how schools are moving towards giving effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. In this article we explore the unique implications for being a school in Aotearoa.
